Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

• Generates investigations that meet priority for field forwarding to ensure criminal follow-up.
• Reads, analyzes and interprets records and codes/notes for criminal data and analyzes data to discern trends, statistics or their observations.
• Utilizing audit routines to test data integrity and the reliability of information systems utilized and prepares reports to identify problems and proposed changes to operating systems.
• Utilizing, maintaining and manipulating various sensitive record repository systems, public source record search systems, and other databases to obtain and verify Federal, State, or local criminal history data on individuals.

Job Requirements:

• Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service. See www.sss.gov
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
• Suitable for Federal employment determined by background investigation.
• Must sign a mobility agreement as condition of employment

Qualification & Experience:

• OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate  education leading to a Ph.D. degree OR LL.M., if related that demonstrates the competencies needed to do the work of the position may be substituted for the experience required;
• Specialized experience is defined as: experience analyzing criminal data and researching a variety of reports and databases in order to determine accuracy, completeness of information, and recognize and extract essential information;
