Job Description:
As a Cook, you’ll prepare high quality food that meets SeaWorld standards by following menu specifications. You will follow all safety and HACCP guidelines, use proper protective gear, and test food temperatures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Ensure proper portion and recipe execution through use of established tools
- Ensure highest standards of food quality and product presentation through menu adherence
- Assist guest with allergen requests as needed*Maintain product and supply stocks of assigned kitchen / food prep / work space locations which includes large walk in coolers and freezers
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, sanitation and safety and assigned kitchen and food prep work areas
- Engage with ambassadors and guests alike with the highest levels of service excellence
- Execute food preparation and cooking of raw vegetables, proteins, sauces and other which can include use of smokers, grills, wok stations, steam kettles and large bakery style mixing equipment
Qualification & Experience:
- A diverse background of QSR, full service restaurant, high volume, multi-unit operations preferred
- Ability to lift, carry and push/pull up to 55 lbs.
- Ability to pass SafeStaff training and RCS Responsible Vendor Training (alcohol)
- At least two years of cooking experience or a combination of cooking experience and culinary arts school
- Ability to stand for entire shift
- Ability to use cleaning chemicals as well as work in all weather conditions
- Ability to train on and use protective gear and kitchen equipment
- Basic knife skills
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to work with all food types, including food allergens, in any dining facility
- Scheduling flexibility
