Job Description:

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of water quality laws, regs, and policies
• Knowledge of S.F. Bay dredge and fill program and Long-Term Management Strategy
• Experience with dredge and fill projects including 401 water quality certification regulations
• Knowledge of PCB pollution sources, PCB fate and transport, and ecological risk assessment
• Experience developing, managing, or evaluating aquatic resource (e.g. tidal wetland) restoration projects
• Experience interacting and negotiating with stakeholders
• Experience writing technical reports or scientific publications
• Experience verbally presenting technical information to a scientific audience
• Knowledge of coastal, estuarine, or fluvial sediment transport dynamics
• Experience applying principals of fluvial geomorphology to environmental projects
• Knowledge of sea level rise models and hazard impacts applicable to S.F. Bay
• Knowledge of sediment toxicity or chemistry testing methods and guidance to evaluate the acceptability of dredged sediment at possible disposal sites
