Costa Vacancies – Strategy and Market Intelligence Manager

Job Description:

We have a fantastic opportunity to join our UK&I Strategy team in the role of Strategy and Market Intelligence Manager. This is a central role in ensuring our consumers and partners remain central to our strategy and decision making, generating actionable insights by combining in depth market analysis with a strong understanding of our own performance in the UK&I market. As such, the role will shape Costa’s market, growth, operational, commercial and people strategies by illuminating opportunities, enabling prioritisation and supporting action planning across the business.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support / lead the creation of specific strategies relating to certain business functions and/or priorities
• Completing detailed financial and commercial analysis using excel or equivalent and developing key insights from analysis
• Develop reporting on market- and competitor-intelligence and frameworks and proactively engage leadership around the business to embed the learnings in strategic decision-making
• Support the creation and lead the embedding of Costa’s Total Coffee Company strategy and prioritisation of strategic opportunities, including the annual and long-range business planning process
• Distilling findings into succinct presentations
• Identifying and monitoring relevant market, competitor, customer and channel trends

Qualification & Experience:

• Articulate with excellent interpersonal skills – ability to quickly establish credibility with senior management
• Experience with consumer, retail or FMCG would be a distinct advantage
• Experience working for a leading strategy consultancy or strategy function of a large corporate performing a strategy development role
• Degree level qualified or equivalent experience
• Proven ability to source, collect and analyse market and competitor data from multiple sources and comfortable providing additional commentary
• Agile and proactive; a solution-focussed self-starter who thrives on ambiguity and can balance longer-term initiative with more ad-hoc Exec requests
