Job Description:

Under the direction of the Driver Safety Manager I, the incumbent conducts administrative hearings, interviews, reexaminations and investigative proceedings. These contacts may involve in depth investigation, be of a sensitive nature, and involve multiple witnesses. Renders immediate written decisions relative to the driving privilege by exercising sound judgement in the application of current laws, regulations, and departmental policies on a case by case basis; timely manages the assigned caseload; participates and exchanges information at Driver Safety functions with law enforcement, medical professionals, courts, attorneys and others; and tactfully assists challenging customers.
