Job Description:

This position is located in the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection, Community Affairs Branch, responsible for managing and coordinating projects related to emerging consumer protection and community development.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare strategic plans establishing short term and long term objectives to meet program and Division goals: Evaluates the desirability and cost of existing and proposed plans, organization, and program objectives through studies approved by the Associate Director, Deputy Director, or the Division Director.
  • Supervises and coordinates the work of community development professionals and experts meeting challenges resulting from increased levels of complex activities in the Washington and field offices as a result of new initiatives established by the Chairman’s Office.
  • Coordinates and manages integrated projects involving other functional areas within the Division, as well as other regulatory agencies, and presents recommended alternatives and solutions to specific issues. Assigns projects and monitors progress of projects which have been assigned to the Branch.
  • Develop, executes and maintains strategic partnerships to promote financial education with various national, state and local partners.
  • Prepares and analyzes studies, reports, and proposals regarding community affairs and community lending policies, practices, and related matters as prepared by Branch specialists, divisional staff, other Federal agencies, and entities from outside the government.
  • Develops and implements financial education, outreach and research strategies.
