Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating DHS directives for potential impact on FLETC Fleet Management Program; recommending and preparing comments and revisions.
  • Providing expert technical advice in accordance with established guidance from DHS and higher headquarters for mobile asset management and vehicle and marine fleet support.
  • Participating in evaluating policies, regulations, and procedures within the framework of the DHS Mobile Assets and Personal Property (MAPP) Program and incorporating best practices into the FLETC Fleet Management Program.
  • Evaluating FLETC’s fleet management operations at all Training Delivery Points to assess compliance with applicable regulations, policies, procedures, and sound management practices.
  • Assuming management and supervisory responsibilities for the Mobile Assets Branch in the absence of the Fleet Manager.
  • Serving as primary contributor to FLETC guidance on Fleet Management.
  • Managing the FLETC inventory of mobile assets, captured in the DHS digital system of record, currently the Sunflower Asset and Management System (SAMS). Accessing the comprehensive OCRSO database, currently the Consolidated Asset Portfolio and Sustainability Information System (CAPSIS), to generate and retrieve reports on FLETC MAPP assets and activities.

  • You must be able to meet job-related medical and/or fitness standards. You will be subject to an initial and annual physical examination that measures your visual, hearing, and physical acuity.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state issued driver’s license to conduct official government business.
