Material Planning & Logistics teams work to provide a synchronous flow of materials to customers at an affordable cost.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives and best practices
  • Work with the quality team to improve error proofing and manufacturing quality
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends and holidays when required, as well as rotating shifts
  • Apply engineering principles to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and productivity
  • Work with the maintenance and production teams to resolve day to day manufacturing concerns
  • Ensure compliance to Plant, Corporate, Governmental and Environmental standards
  • Perform bottleneck analysis for cycle time and performance for plant floor operations
  • Create process and instruction sheets supporting quality methods and processes
  • Lead Manufacturing Process Engineering activity for Assembly or Machining
  • Team with outside suppliers for improved manufacturing robustness

Qualification & Experience:

  • Familiarity with assembly stations, press applications, vision applications, nut runners, gantry systems and other associated manufacturing systems
  • BS in Engineering
  • Knowledge of DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology
  • Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
  • 3 or more years of process engineering experience
  • 1 or more years of Microsoft Office experience (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
  • 8D and 5Why corrective action and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, and Value Stream Mapping
  • Understanding of TQM and Kaizen Methods
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
