Ford Hiring – Test Automation Developer

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be part of the Enhanced Central Gateway (ECG) Automation Development Team involved in the delivery of software solutions that facilitate automated testing for functional and integration testing. You will work with software development teams to deliver automated tests and tools for ongoing regression testing, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

• Interface with development and test teams to understand feature functionality and testing requirements.
• Contribute to team deliverable through involvement in agile scrum development sprints.
• Develop and maintain test libraries that interface with vehicle electronic control units (ECUs).
• Support the design and execution of functional and integration tests.
• Develop and maintain software tools and features to assist in automated testing.

Qualification & Experience:

• 3+ year experience in test automation and tools development.
• Experience in Python development and object-oriented design.
• 3+ year experience in Python development and object-oriented design.
• 4+ year experience in Python development and object-oriented design.
• Experience in test automation and tools development.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
• Experience in maintaining automated execution of large number of tests and triaging test results.
• Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented and adept at detecting and diagnosing software defects.
