Job Description:
The Ford Board Support Package (BSP) and Driver Development Team is seeking an experienced embedded Software Engineer to design, implement and execute automated tests running on the next generation computing architectures in our cars. The main focus of this position is developing/ enhancing test frameworks, setting up test benches and executing the tests in respect to highly secure bootloaders as well as the BSP.
Job Responsibilities:
- Document test results and report defects
- Maintenance and enhancement of existing test cases/ framework
- Work closely with SW developers within the team to identify critical workflows / tests, automate them and then execute relevant test cases
- Set up the relevant embedded hardware for daily testing
Qualification & Experience:
- Detail oriented, great communication skills
- Experience with embedded device Software testing, debugging, analyzing logs
- Expertise with Python, Java, JIRA
- 2+ years experience in automation test system development
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent field of study (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
