Job Description:

Industrial Engineers will work directly with production in implementing lean manufacturing. They analyze throughput data to help departments improve performance. They are responsible to handle standardized work for future products alongside the core team and help to launch extraordinary products. In steady state, they drive continuous improvement projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Drive continuous improvement activities for assigned area
• Maintain accurate time study and ergonomic evaluations for each workstation
• Provide Technical support and assistance to manufacturing and maintenance team members, production supervisors and production associates
• Implement workstation designs that meet safety and ergonomic requirements
• Support development of assembly process for future vehicle models
• Implement lean manufacturing concepts (GMS)
• Plan & implement productivity improvements

Job Requirements:

• Willingness to work in a Manufacturing Plant
• Capable and willing to travel as needed (<10%)

Qualification & Experience:

• Experience in documentation of standardized work procedures
• Experience in implementation of lean manufacturing concepts, such as Six Sigma
• Internship or Cooperative work experience preferred
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (heavily focused on Excel and PowerPoint)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; Industrial Engineering
• Working knowledge of computer aided drafting tools (AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Line Designer)
• Industrial Engineering Skills
• Self-motivated individual with continuous improvement focus
• Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
• Knowledge of human factors engineering / ergonomic analysis
• Knowledge of time study and motion analysis
