Job Description:

As a Property Disposal Specialist, you will work as part of a team responsible for performing all phases of activities involving the Property Management programs of government personal property.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes a wide variety of Federal, State, and/or donee programs for problems and policy compliance. Ensures property is adequately and efficiently accounted for, described, used, and made available to other organizations.
  • Manages the transfer of useable, reportable personal property between Federal agencies within the Zone. Coordinates and executes the transfer of surplus personal property within the Zone to authorized donees, including establishing schedules to ensure fair screening privileges for all donees.
  • Determines the eligibility of organizations desiring to participate in the donation program, and assists Senior Property Specialist to conduct reviews of state agencies to evaluate program performance and compliance with established regulations.
  • Analyzes statistical data for individual sales reports and summary program reports.
  • Maintains liaison with bidders, business community, agency officials, state and local government representatives, and others to determine reactions to sales, problems encountered, solutions developed; recommends changes to existing procedures..

Job Requirements:

  • Register with the Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959
  • Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
  • US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
  • Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable
