Job Description:

The Plant IT Engineer requires strong technical and problem-solving skills. This position has the responsibility of implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT applications to ensure maximum contributions to plant productivity, quality, and responsiveness. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire both manufacturing experience and apply IT skills to manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for Plant Floor IT systems with integrated infrastructure
• Perform implementation and 1st level support of mission critical plant applications. This includes a functional knowledge of all plant applications used by local plants (systems’ training will be provided), ability to troubleshoot system issues, manage and/or configure applications. This also includes but is not limited to FIS, QLS-CM, QTS, QWX, PDS, LMA, OBL, QDAS, FirstPage, etc.
• Handle effective communication and coordination of events during incidents for any major systems/network outages
• Work flexible hours in support of a single shift operation

Qualification & Experience:

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task by managing multiple applications
• Experience with Server Windows administration
• 1+ year of experience in machine monitoring, performance and quality systems, component tracking, common plant and office network environments, engineering systems and identification systems
• Experience with office automation, Windows, PC’s & printers
• General understanding of current Ford Plant Floor IT systems
• Conceptual knowledge in SharePoint platform set-up and configuration
• 1+ year of experience in manufacturing maintaining, configuring, and troubleshooting IT/manufacturing applications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Adequate experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
