Job Description:
The Projection team is looking for candidates to work on the latest infotainment software used in Ford vehicles! This team is responsible for delivering first class phone integration with Android-Auto and Apple CarPlay. The role is primary geared for AOSP level software development on the Android platform for someone who likes to work hard and have fun in a dynamic team environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create/Foster great relationships with other teams at Ford
- Participate in code and design reviews
- Work on proof of concepts and prototyping
- Investigate, debug and fix various software bugs
- Own and develop software features from design to delivered product
- Write unit tests to ensure your code works as expected
Qualification & Experience:
- Knowledge of unit testing with Google Test Framework
- Experience with Kotlin and/or Java
- Experience with data packet analysis and related tooling (e.g. Wireshark/tcpdump)
- Experience with projection technologies such as Apple CarPlay or Android-Auto
- Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field
- Experience with CAN, USB, Bluetooth
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, software engineering or related field of study (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required)
- Experience in AOSP level of Android (writing system services, APIs, etc)
- Experience with common networking technologies (e.g. Ethernet, IP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, ping, ARP, Route, DNS, DHCP)
- 2+ years work experience
