Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and normally cares for around 14,000 dogs across its network of 21 rehoming centres in the UK and one in Dublin. Dogs Trust has a non-destruction policy and will never put a healthy dog to sleep.
The successful candidate will work in collaboration with subject matter experts including the Employee Relations Advisor and HR Business Partner team, proactively seeking feedback and involvement from stakeholders when drafting or revising policies and incorporating feedback within a continuous improvement cycle. Promoting awareness of new and amended policies will be an important part of the role, including working with colleagues in HR and Internal Communications to communicate changes effectively to people across Dogs Trust.
Ideally qualified to CIPD level 5 (or with equivalent experience), you will have previous experience in a similar position, with outstanding drafting skills, including editing and proof-reading. You will have close attention to detail, with a high standards of literacy and grammar. You will also be an excellent communicator with knowledge of employment law and a proactive commitment to personal continued professional development.
