Job Description:

Working alongside the Logistics leadership team, you’ll lead the Ambient warehouse operations team in all aspects of operations, KPIs and compliance, playing a pivotal role in fostering a culture of leadership and accountability throughout your Regional Distribution Centre’s warehouse operations. It’s full-on, fast-paced and not for the faint-hearted. And you wouldn’t want it any other way.

Job Responsibilities:

  • KPI reviewing and planning for the department
  • Ensure compliance with UK Law and Lidl GB standards
  • Health and Safety reporting – both personnel and equipment related
  • Personnel responsibilities – for example recruitment, employment contracts and grievances
  • Capacity planning and acts as a lead contact for external warehouse operations
  • Strategic planning and control of resources, personnel, and costs
  • Ambient warehouse cost control and analysis
  • Manage employees in accordance with the company principles and the leadership model
  • Order picking, stock intakes and floor area management responsibility
  • Inventory control ownership

Job Requirements:

  • Able to identify and nurture talent and supports others to do the same
  • A proven ability to plan for the short, medium and long-term
  • The ability to lead by example – despite unexpected challenges
  • To possess a detailed and thorough knowledge of warehouse operations
  • Experience working with a large, dynamic team
  • Experience in the implementation of a variety of HR and Recruitment policies and understands best-practice
  • The ability to initiate stakeholder discussions and build lasting relationships both internally and externally
