Job Responsibilities:
- In the autonomous driving team, we focus on the development of the future autonomous driving system for Mercedes-Benz cars. We build Level 3 / 4 systems with cutting edge ADAS sensors. To ensure the best possible base for all those functionalities, we are looking for an expert in developing lidar based systems together with our suppliers. As a Lidar systems hardware expert, you will develop hardware together with our suppliers and external engineering service providers. You will work together on an international project team to identify challenges, write demands and find long term solutions. Furthermore, you will be part of the Lidar system’s safety team and ensure that all safety requirements are met. The production of the sensor will also be one of your associated tasks and therefor you will work closely with our quality teams. To reach this goal, you must be capable of holistically managing highly complex HW and SW components.
Qualification & Experience:
- Experience in integrating autosar basic software standards
- Degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science Engineering, information technology or similar OR proven experience by industrial certifications
- Ability to analyze complex issues step by step
- Experience manufacturing of opto-electronical components (e.g. cameras, lidar)
- Experience in development of Complex Device Drivers
- Experience in development of safety relevant components according to ISO 26262
- Personal skills
- Proficiency in problem solving and troubleshooting technical issues
- Understanding of ADAS SW stack
- Several years of experience in automotive electronics development
