Job Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Applications Systems Specialist is to analyze, design, code, test, and implement complex and advanced computer application systems, as well as maintain existing systems.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge in analyzing and interpreting organizational and procedural problems to make modifications to existing applications or to develop new applications.
- Experience with Oracle, JSP, Servlets, EJB, Web Services, Eclipse, CORBA, C++, and .NET frameworks is preferred.
- Experience applying n-tier development methodology, application usability and design, Object Oriented Design, and Relational Database Design.
- Demonstrated ability to apply the principles and concepts of application analysis and design, cost analysis, estimating staffing needs, testing, documentation, and implementation.
- Experience providing technical helpdesk support for applications by coordinating with technical staff to resolve service interruptions.
- Experience programming in Java/JEE, Relational Databases, and Web Services.
Qualification & Experience:
- High School or General Education Development (GED) diploma and eight years of experience in business application consulting or development; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Associate degree in Computer Science or an IT-related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of progressive experience in business application consulting or development;
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an IT-related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of progressive experience in business application consulting or development;
