Job Description:

Project Directors supply timely, accurate, and relevant information to assist senior leadership, customers, and/or management in making decisions. They contribute to the management of a project in technical, development, business, and operational functional organizations.

Job Responsibilities:

Project Director responsibilities may include: – Developing and overseeing project plans – Performing resource management – Developing and tracking schedules – Monitoring performance goals and mitigating risks – Providing quality assurance oversight – Leading/mentoring junior staff – Creating and sustaining a strong customer focus – Collaborating with others to accomplish goals – Presenting project status and informational briefs

Qualification & Experience:

The qualifications listed are the minimum acceptable to be considered for the position. Degree in any area is acceptable. Relevant experience must be in project management (e.g., planning, resource management, scheduling, and tracking/oversight) in a subject matter related to the position in which the candidate is applying. PMP and/or DAWIA certifications are preferred. For Expert level, experience in organizational leadership and PMP and/or DAWIA certifications are preferred. ENTRY (Grade: 7-9) Entry is with a Bachelor’s degree and no experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 4 years of relevant experience or an Associate’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position. FULL PERFORMANCE (Grade: 11-12) Entry is with a Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 1 year of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree and no experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience or an Associate’s degree plus 5 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position. SENIOR (Grade: 13-14) Entry is with a Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant experience or an Associate’s degree plus 8 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position. EXPERT (Grade: 15) Entry is with a Bachelor’s degree plus 9 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 5 years of relevant experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 13 years of relevant experience or an Associate’s degree plus 11 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.
