Job Responsibilities:

  • The U.S. Secret Service is seeking retired (CSRS/FERS) individuals to support our integrated mission and immediately impart their knowledge and experience to the current workforce.  If re-employed under a Dual Compensation Hiring Authority with an OPM approved salary off-set waiver granted to the Secret Service, annuitants are able to earn their full salary and their full annuity without penalty.
  • Performing computer-based analysis of data for investigative cases; reviewing, evaluating, recommending, and specifying available computer software, peripherals and network hardware, specifically related to criminal analysis and investigative data retrieval.
  • Working with special agents and technical personnel to research and provide analysis related to research, criminal financial investigations and crime trends; developing investigative leads, making resource allocation recommendations and case clearances/closures.
  • Using computer databases, electronic spreadsheets, desktop publishing, GIS/mapping software, word processing, statistical applications and specialized software applications to manipulate, analyze and present financial and investigative information; and developing and maintaining new geographic data layers.

Job Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Obtain and maintain a Top Secret Tier 5 clearance.
  • Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
  • Undergo occasional travel.
  • May be required to work holidays, weekends days and/or nights.
  • May be exposed to adverse conditions when performing temporary duty assignments and/or traveling domestically or internationally to provide intelligence support.

Qualification & Experience:

  • You must demonstrate at least one (1) year of the defined Specialized Experience and meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Individual Occupational Requirements (IOR).
