Job Description:
As the Project Manager, you will drive accountability and provide tracking and reporting on active technical projects that directly influence the organization’s strategic initiatives and priorities across Logistics & Distribution. You will navigate through ambiguity, adapt, and institute best practices to ensure the team can thrive. You will support multiple projects and cross-functional teams throughout various stages of the project life cycle. This includes:
Job Responsibilities:
- Hold cross-functional partners accountable for the delivery of project deliverables, providing timely updates and optimizing their output
- Consider potential risks throughout the project life cycle, and effectively communicate impact and mitigation plan suggestions to impacted parties
- Manage project intake process and provide regular tracking and reporting for assigned projects
- Help to facilitate solutions, provide escalation management when necessary and balance the project needs with workload and priorities
- Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple groups with varying priorities
- Support post-implementation review process to identify lessons learned and best practices for future endeavors
- Acquire and maintain a working understanding of the business issues, risks and opportunities that the organization is facing
- Monitor and review KPIs throughout the project life cycle
- Determine workflow based on execution and scope – partnering closely with and liaising between Sephora IT, Engineering, 3PLs and Supply Chain teams
- Own planning, documentation, and execution of projects, including establishing project charter, objectives, scope, governance, deliverables, as required
Job Requirements:
- You’re savvy with Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; MS Project, Tableau and Smartsheets would be an asset)
- You can deliver complex projects with a multitude of milestones and dependencies – and you have the track record to back it up
- Strong business acumen, with demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt with unfamiliar subject matter areas
- Proven ability to be successful in a fast-paced and rapidly changing work environment
- You have keen eye for detail with problem-solving skills, including ability to navigate ambiguous situations where information is complex or difficult to obtain
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
- You have strong organizational skills and ability to work with multiple large cross-functional teams concurrently
Qualification & Experience:
- You have an undergraduate degree in business or related field – a PMP designation a huge asset!
- You have 3-5 years of Project Management Experience – transportation, last mile strategies and supply chain experience is bonus!
- You have an aptitude and experience with technology related to Supply Chain and Logistics such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and data/file transfer technologies.
