Job Description:

This is an Open Continuous Announcement to establish a standing register of qualified candidates to refer as vacancies occur. We will have two cut off dates for receipt/referral of applications. First date is on July 30, 2022 and second date is the closing date. Final disposition notices will be completed once all position vacancies are filled.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identifying persons who may be eligible for various SSA programs by utilizing screening and interview methods effectively;
  • Delivering service to customers within agreed service levels and established performance standards.
  • Conducting interviews to determine the nature of the call;
  • Providing quality customer service in a fast-paced, high call volume environment;
  • Providing information on SSA’s policies and procedures and resolving customer questions by identifying the issue and selecting the best option(s) for resolution;
  • Using automation tools to access and update information; and
  • Determining eligibility for programs administered by SSA;
  • Answering unscreened calls for continuous periods of time on SSA’s national 800 number;

Job Requirements:

  • Job offers are contingent on background / security investigation results
  • Relocation expenses will not be paid
  • Selectees are required to complete a 11-13 week technical training class
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Selectees are required to serve a 1-year probationary period
  • Background and/or security investigation required
  • Selective Service Registration, if applicable. (www.sss.gov)
  • Must pass Meet-and-Deal panel interview
