This position contributes to Starbucks’ success by delivering and supporting Global Coffee & Tea technology solutions, enabling highly cross-functional, global, enterprise-wide strategic initiatives. As a senior systems analyst on this team, you will help shape the future of Global Coffee & Tea at Starbucks and be an integral part of the company’s core mission and values.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides constructive input and perspective to team conversations.
  • Self-directed; is successful with minimal direction and provides guidance and support to consultants and less senior analysts
  • Leverages subject matter expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting moderately complex system/user issues to drive resolution and determine root cause
  • Supports project initiation efforts by assisting in the definition of project scope and the identification/selection of targeted solution(s). Assists project management in the development of work plans, effort estimates, and delivery timelines.
  • Translates customer experience into product solutions and technical requirements
  • Coordinates issue resolution efforts across peer support groups, business users and vendors as required
  • Engages in product planning and development through day-to-day collaboration and decision making with a cross-functional team including consultants, architects, developers, testers and business partners
  • Gathers, analyzes, and documents business requirements to support the design and development of technology and/or process solutions

Job Requirements:

  • Understanding of technical nuances and system architecture
  • Expertise in multi-domain system integrations
  • Experience writing user stories, refining product backlogs, and delivering in an agile environment
  • Ability to write moderate to complex SQL queries
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization, and familiarity with analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau, others)
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise applications and interest to learn and adapt to other products
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience assessing, implementing, and supporting SaaS / third-party hosted applications

Qualification & Experience:

  • Experience with Oracle EBS, specifically Purchasing, Quality, and Finance modules
  • Understanding of data science principles and concepts
  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement principles and concepts
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with agritech and/or Commodity Trading & Risk Management (CTRM) technologies
  • Experience in procurement/trading of green coffee or other agricultural commodities
