State Farm Hiring – UX Generalist

Job Description:

State Farm’s Labs department is seeking an experienced UX Generalist to join our Ideation Team. As a new team member you will lead others through the practice of ideation and join a collaborative team of intrapreneurs and innovators who help solve consumer problems, evaluate new ideas, explore, research, test new concepts, and seed new opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Consulting on Design Thinking principles and methods,
• Facilitating ideation sessions on new ideas and concepts,
• Finding and documenting jobs to be done, facilitating design sessions, and providing guidance on customer first strategies.
• Conducting consumer interviews and other types of primary research,

Job Requirements:

• Experience as UX designer or similar role
• Proven ability to facilitate creative work and lead business partners to build outstanding user experiences
• Experience taking input from multi-disciplinary teams and helping the teams design products that customers love
• Primary quantitative and qualitative research tools and methods
• Demonstrated significant curiosity in your work
• Comfort in challenging the status quo when appropriate
• Degree, certification, or work experience in Human Centered Design/User Experience Design
• Experience working with peers and other UX practitioners to manage the design work-flow and scope via iterative, rapid cycles of design and validation

• Sketch, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, InVision, Mural, and other design tools.
