New Mexico State Employment – Correctional Officer – Lieutenant

•  Provide oversight and direction to security staff during institutional shift hours
• Provide safety, security and orderly operations
• Enforce post orders and policies
• Completing reports in a timely manner
• Provide direction through use of good judgment, professionalism and attention to duty

Job Requirements:

• Supervision
• Working as a Correctional Officer Sergeant
• Working within an Adult correctional facility
• Writing and compiling reports
• Handling rapidly changing situations
• High School Diploma or equivalency and four (4) years of experience in a correctional setting, law enforcement and/or military, of which two (2) years must have been as a supervisor.
