State Park Jobs in San Diego – Park Aide

Job Description:

The Senior Park Aide may lead seasonal Park Aides and volunteers in visitor center operations, prepare reports and accounting documents for fees collected, monitor park facilities, explain park rules and regulations to park visitors, and assist with interpretive, educational, and special event activities within and outside the park. Work hours will vary, and the incumbent will be required to work holidays, weekends, and special events.  Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, conform to departmental uniform requirements and will be subject to a Live Scan fingerprint clearance. Job Requirements:

• Ability to: Work independently; follow instructions; establish and maintain cooperative relations with the general public and other employees; use tools, supplies, and equipment required by the job; perform varied manual tasks, evaluate problems, and take corrective action; and provide leadership.
• Knowledge of: The operation of park facilities; lead responsibilities; and basic principles of dealing with employees and the public.
