Job Description:
This position is remote eligible and is located within Enterprise Office, and serves as a Civil Engineer providing expertise in areas of ecological restoration techniques for watersheds, and stream and river systems, stream geomorphology, hydrology, dam safety, and dam and river hydraulics
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepares designs and contracts for a wide variety of projects related to stream and watershed restoration and geotechnical and hydrological studies.
- Serves as a technical expert, providing a wide range of technical advice about problems affecting watershed, stream or river, and dam management and restoration techniques.
- Applies the concepts of stream simulation, aquatic organism passage, and river geomorphology to engineering designs to produce ecologically-resilient projects.
- Independently plans and carries out hydraulic engineering studies and investigations related to watersheds, dams, and river systems.
- Performs field inspections and contract administrative support for ongoing restoration projects for watershed, river, and stream restorations.
Job Requirements:
- Successful completion of one-year probationary period, unless previously served.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service or exempt.
