Job Description:
This vacancy is located in the Infrastructure Operations Division.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure uninterrupted availability of the OCIO-CEC networks by coordinating network monitoring activities, analyzing network performance statistics, and identifying and correcting component malfunctions
- Keep the OCIO-CEC networks current with respect to network operating system run levels, as well as for the customization and modification of network operating systems as needed in order to optimize the compatibility and utility of the OCIO-CEC networks
- Serve as a technical specialist for the local area and wide area networks within the Department of Agriculture’s OCIO-IT organization and operations
- Provide network administration/configuration support; develop, maintain, and monitor the operations of a Infrastructure Operations Center
