Job Description:

This position is used throughout the Servicing and Asset Management Office (SAMO), Business Center – Operations Office, Rural Development (RD), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The incumbent analyzes, evaluates and advises management on issues relating to SAMO programs and operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serves as representative or project leader/coordinator on studies and task forces established to address specific loan servicing issues or changes to programs.
  • Analyzes program operations costs and reports on impact on budget, temporary personnel, overtime and automation.
  • Provides analysis of the overall cost of specified operations and its impact on the larger RD budget.
  • Manages automation enhancement requests. Prioritizes and tracks automation enhancements.
  • Composes technical correspondence or position papers on complicated reporting problems/issues.

Job Requirements:

  • You must be a US Citizen or US National
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt
  • Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check
  • Successful completion of one-year probationary period, unless previously served.
